Janashakthi Foundation
Empowering Lives.
Enabling Progress.
At Janashakthi Group (JXG), we believe that success is measured not just by what we achieve, but by how many lives we touch along the way. The Janashakthi Foundation serves as the Group’s philanthropic arm, leading initiatives that create meaningful, measurable impact across Sri Lanka. Rooted in our values and aligned with national priorities, the Foundation focuses on long-term transformation through three key pillars: education, sports, and community development.

Our Pillars of Impact
Sports
We believe education is a catalyst for change. Our programs improve access to learning and uplift literacy through school infrastructure upgrades, teacher training, and digital empowerment. Special attention is given to underserved communities, where we offer scholarships, books, and facilities that unlock opportunity and inspire ambition.
Sports have the power to unite, build confidence, and instill discipline. Through the Foundation, we invest in nurturing young talent, revitalising sports infrastructure, and supporting national-level athletes. From rural cricket grounds to Olympic dreams, we continue to shape lives through sport.
We are deeply connected to the communities we serve. Whether it is healthcare access, emergency relief, or livelihood support, our programs are designed in close collaboration with local partners to ensure they are inclusive, sustainable, and scalable. Our approach focuses on enabling resilience and strengthening social bonds.

Sustainable Development Goals
Our Alignment with the SDGs
The Janashakthi Foundation is proud to align its work with eight key United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). We believe that true progress must be inclusive, sustainable, and purpose-driven. With an investment of over LKR 58 million in just three years, our programs continue to address priority areas such as:
No Poverty (SDG 1) and Zero Hunger (SDG 2), through targeted community support and food security initiatives
Good Health and Well-being (SDG 3), via mobile medical camps and awareness programs
Quality Education (SDG 4), including scholarships, smart classrooms, and vocational training.
Gender Equality (SDG 5), through leadership programs and inclusive participation.
Decent Work and Economic Growth (SDG 8), by supporting skill development and entrepreneurship.
Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure (SDG 9), through digital inclusion and local development projects
Reduced Inequalities (SDG 10), ensuring equal opportunity regardless of location or background
Our SDG-driven framework allows us to create scalable and lasting change. Every project is built with the next generation in mind, guided by the belief that responsible progress today will shape a stronger, more empowered Sri Lanka tomorrow.
